Equi-est Summer of Horse Safety Tip #7

It’s Equi-est Summer of Horse Safety Tip Number 7!

Applying sunscreen is one of the most obvious ways to keep ourselves and our horses from getting burnt, but we often forget it! In summer, you shouldn’t be hacking out at the hottest point of the day, but even if you’re riding in the morning or late evening the sun can still be strong enough to burn us. Applying sunscreen to horses is particularly important too, especially if your horse is grey, has a pink nose or even white socks! You’ll be able to find plenty of sunblocks that are especially designed for horses.
